We seek to source fish and seafood rated either ‘Best Choice’ or ‘Good Alternative’ by the Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch at the time of its onboarding or that have recognized sustainability certifications (e.g. Marine Stewardship Council, Aquaculture Stewardship Council, Best Aquaculture Practices). In some instances, we will consider smaller fisheries that are involved in fishery improvement projects (FIPs).
We also believe in transparency and giving our customers the opportunity to learn more about where their food comes from, and have joined The Ocean Disclosure Project, where anyone can view the country of origin, catch or production method, and sustainability rating of our seafood.
